Hi! I am a documentary family photographer based in Maryland, and founder of The Mom Movement.

What is The Mom Movement? It is a movement that helps to empower mom's through documentary photography. Mom's can feel under-appreciated, over-worked, and stretched thin with all of their daily duties and responsibilities. The one thing that they don't realize is how appreciated they really are. Mom's often feel like their daily duties go un-noticed. Little hugs when your toddler falls and cries and wants his mommy, rocking the baby to sleep in her nursery, a small hug in the kitchen from your husband while he's cooking pancakes for breakfast are all things that happen everyday, that are often overlooked. Every little detail of the day makes an everlasting imprint on your life, your husband's life, and your child's life.

The pictures from the session will help you realize how much you are really worth to your family! The messes don't matter, the moment's do.

Documentary family photography is hugely different than other traditional photography that you are used to. With this type of session, I will come hang out at your house (or a special place to your family), and just take pictures of your day. No matching outfits, no poses. I take pictures of eating, playing, diaper changes, falls, spills, crying, hugs, cooking, laughing, reading... anything and everything! These pictures will help you remember your kid's being little, and how they see you through their eyes. These pictures are for YOU. They do not have to be shared on social media at all- and are strictly for you to remember your family. They are you to feel empowered, and to feel like the super mom that you ARE!

The ultimate goal for The Mom Movement project is to have a day in your life documented once a year. Then, with the pictures, you can have an album made with the date on the spine. So, in years to come, you will be able to pull all of the albums off of your shelf and reminisce about 2018, 2019, 2020, etc.

This movement is very close and special to me. What started in Maryland- has now branched into Pennsylvania and Virginia through other documentary photographers.
